Overdue

This post is long overdue! We went to Newport with my family in August and it was so much fun! I love that we are able to get together and have fun. We stayed literally a couple feet away from the beach in this little house. I can't wait to see what vacation we will go on next year! Here are a couple pics from the trip!

Baby Crazy...

In the last month we have had 3 new family members born. Rhett Huntington in June and then Lisa and Jason just had their twins Brooklyn and Ethan yesterday. I am seriously so in love with all of them. It is crazy how little they are! We went and visited the twins today and they are adorable! Definitely made me a little baby hungry :) One would be enough for me though! I keep telling Davis that by the time we have a baby no one will care. We will have so many nieces and nephews by that time! But I love having them around because we can have fun with them and then send them back to their parents! Its perfect :)

Lucky girl...

I am not really one to brag about how great my husband is. I mean I know he is great but I don't tell everyone all the time, but sometimes I look at him and can't believe how lucky I am to have him! Ever since our first date Davis has opened every single door I have ever walked through with him. He opens my car door every time without fail and he has always treated me so good. He is going to be an amazing dad. He loves kids so much and I can't wait for us to have a baby of our own. He is definitely the favorite uncle of both of our families! It kind of puts me to shame, but I still love it :) Well I kind of make a big deal out of every holiday because it is an excuse to get and give presents and Easter was no different. Davis is not always the best at giving presents, but I know he tries :) So we were at cafe rio last night and I asked him if he had gotten me an easter present and he said no. I was so bummed! I know it shouldn't be a big deal but I like giving presents and I just wanted it to be fun for us even though we don't have kids to give easter baskets to yet. I had to run to target after and I guess during that time he ran and got me something. So I woke up to flowers and an Easter basket full of goodies this morning. He had set it up after I went to bed last night! He really is such a thoughtful person and I am so lucky he is mine forever :)

Trey Man

Seriously who could not love that face?! Trey and Mayce have been here for the past two weeks and it has been a blast! I am really close to my sister and I hate not living in the same place. But I do love when she comes and visits. While she was here we have done some really fun stuff. We went to shark reef at Mandalay Bay which I have never been to and it was so fun! We also got a jumper for Trey and he really likes it. He is such a good baby! He laughs and giggles a lot which I love! And we can actually go to lunch and dinner and he will just hang out. If he isn't asleep he is usually just watching what is going on around him. I mean he does have his moments but he is such a cute and easy baby! He is almost 5 months now which is crazy how time goes by so fast. I really hope that our kids can grow up in the same place. So Mayce you need to move here asap :)

Katie

I have been really good friends with Katie since high school. It is kind of funny because she actually used to date Davis in high school. It is so crazy how things work out. She has accomplished so much since high school. She is now a dental hygienist and just bought her first house. Katie is such a fun person to be around and I am so glad we have kept in touch! She married the love of her life and we were able to go. It was beautiful and she looked stunning. I am so glad she let us share her special day with her! We love you Katie!

Utah Weekend

Last week I was able to go to Utah for a little girl's getaway. My sister was up there visiting her in-laws so I wanted to go see her and her little man. My grandma, mom, sister-in-law and niece went up. While I was there I was able to go to lunch with some of my best friends who I miss so much! My old roommate Kelsey who has an adorable little girl, my old roommate Jackie, and Britt! Britt just opened a boutique in Provo and it is such a cute place. Everyone needs to go check it out! She has always been so good at decorating and it really shows in her new store. I LOVE IT! I am so bummed because we didn't take a picture when we all got together :( I seriously love and miss those girls so much!

The rest of the time I spent with my sister and her baby. He is probably the cutest little boy ever. Granted I am sort of bias, but how could you not love that face?! It was so fun to be with Mayce and Trey. They also just found out that they are moving to Vegas for the summer so I will have them for 3 months then and I can't wait! Mayce is going to help me decorate our house cause she is way better at it then I am. It was seriously a blast and I also loved being with Mayce's in-laws. They are the nicest people and let me hang out over at their house while I was there. Thanks Mona and Kelly!

Family!

Last weekend Shannon and Kevin came into town. They finally had a break from law school. Shannon is Davis's sister and I love her! I am so lucky when it comes to my in-laws. They lived in Vegas until August when they moved to Arizona for Kevin to go to law school. And we have really missed them. We got to go out to dinner with them Saturday night and it was so much fun! I really want them to move back asap!

Weekend Getaway

So this post is long overdue! Back in January Davis and I went on a getaway weekend to my parent's condo in Brian Head. We invited our friends Cristina and Matthew. It was so much fun! We went up on Thursday and stayed until Sunday. Matthew tried to teach Davis how to snowboard and lets just say it didn't go so well. He fell pretty hard and really hurt his knee. He has had to go to the chiropractor a couple of times because of it. Sad I know. And we went tubing and all I had were my boots I would wear to work. I don't have any snow boots. Well my boots got ruined! I was pretty much in tears, and have been on the hunt for a replica without success. But other then that it was so fun!

Birthday Girl

Yup it was my birthday this past week! The big 24! It seems so crazy that I am already 24! It seems so old. I feel like I should have 2 kids by now or something. But I have 2 dogs instead :) I was very spoiled on my birthday this year. I went out with my mom and grandma for lunch and shopping. I talked to an old roommate who I hadn't talked to in forever and loved it :) I couldn't believe everyone who called and text me. I felt very special! Then that night my parents took us out to Brio at town square. It was amazing! For those of you who haven't tried it, you NEED to! When we got home Davis gave me my present... an adorable blazer and top that I had my eye on! Of course the girls at work helped him pick it out. :) It was such a great day and thanks to everyone for making it special! Especially my husband, he is so good to me :)

New Years

I loved having my sister here for a few weeks! It was so fun being with her and baby Trey. And I think she liked having the help with her new baby. On new years her in-laws came in town and we all went to Geisha house for dinner. Seriously SO GOOD. I love that place. We then spent the rest of the night packing up our house and didn't even realize when midnight hit. Lame I know! But it was a fun night.

Christmas dogs...

This Christmas I wanted to get the dogs matching outfits to wear. I know it is kind of weird but I think it is so cute when they are dressed up :) Well Lexi was NOT having it. So I was able to grab only one picture until she ripped it up! But seriously how do you not love these faces?!

House

So I know I am totally slacking on this whole blog thing. I promise I am going to get better at it. This last month has been crazy though! We closed on our house on December 28th and tried to get everything moved in the beginning of this month. One of my best friend's Jackie came in town for a couple of days so she was here when I got the keys to the house! So me, Jac, and Lyss went and took pictures. It was so fun having a girls night with Jackie! I miss her so much :)

Trey Daniel Thomas

The day has finally arrived! My sister had her baby this morning after a very long and hard labor. He is so adorable! I can not wait to meet him! They are going to wait until he can fly and then come to Vegas for Christmas. That little boy is going to get so spoiled this Christmas :)

We did it!

We have been looking at houses for the las couple of weeks and we found one that we both loved. We walked in and both of us looked at each other and knew that this was the one we wanted. This was last Monday and we made an offer on the house! The seller accepted but it is a short sale, so now the bank has to approve it. I have been so anxious waiting for a response! We might not find out for a month or two but I really hope we get it. I can't wait to have our own house to do whatever we want to it! :)

Before and After

So I have kind of been obsessed with reading design sponge online and getting good ideas. Now that we are looking at houses I want to be able to have cute decorations! We have been staying at my grandpa's house and he has some really cool old furniture. I decided to try something different with the dining room chairs. I found the idea online and it was easier then I thought! I sanded down the chair, primed, then spray painted! Here are the before and after pics... I am really excited about my new chairs! I only did that one so far to see how it would look but I am going to finish the rest next week :)

Wishing...

I really have been loving this weather the last few days but I am really more of a summer kind of girl. So I have definitely been missing it! This last summer we were able to go on a family vacation to Cabo! We had never been and it was so much fun! We were only able to go for 3 days, but it was amazing. Now that summer is over and we are back to our daily routine, I am really missing my days in Cabo! Davis and I can't wait until next summer so we can hopefully go on another fun vacation!

Love

So about three weeks ago I was on my way to church when I found a little dog running around the street. I had just passed a stop sign when he darted our in front of my car and I had to slam on my brakes to miss him. After about 45 minutes of trying to catch this little guy, Davis finally came and caught him in about 5 minutes. Go figure right! When we brought him home Lexi thought he was her new toy. She is loving having another little one to play with and he is such a good dog. I mean how could you not love this face??

Decisions

The next couple of months are going to be full of decisions for us. We have been really contemplating buying a house and I am seriously getting obsessed with it! We have been living at my grandparents house which has been so nice for us, but I am so ready for a change. I look at houses online everyday and I can't help but want one! It is such a good time to buy right now and I want a place that I can decorate and make our own. So today we went and looked at houses and I fell in love with this one! I know we aren't going to buy for a couple of months but isn't it so cute?? I can just keep dreaming I guess... In the meantime I have been really into design blogs. I went on design sponge the other day and I got so many cute ideas! You can spend hours on that site! I love it!

The people I miss the most ...

Since it made more sense for us to live in Vegas, I had to move away from my best friends. It was so sad to not spend everyday with them anymore :( Then all the sudden it seems like we are all either married, on missions, or just really busy with school and work. It is such a problem growing up :) I can't even tell these girls how much I miss them! I especially miss mine and Britt's burger supreme runs and Jackie's super cute clothes I would always borrow. At least I still have Lyssa to go to cafe rio and forever 21 with!

I caved...

So I finally caved and decided to start a blog! I am actually really excited because I think they are such a fun way to keep up with friends. Davis and I are currently in Las Vegas and are loving being so close to both of our families! Davis is going to school and I am working full time right now. We have two babies- our dogs :) Their names are Lexi and Rocket and they are our precious little angels :) This summer was so much fun! We were able to go to Cabo with my family and San Diego with just the two of us. My sister Mayce and her husband were also here for the summer and it was so much fun having her here! She is pregnant and her little man is due in December, so we are all so excited! Other then that I was finally able to finish school and get my degree in Public Relations. I thought the day would never come! So hopefully I will get a job soon in my field :) So that is what is going on in our lives as of late. I will really try to update this as much as I can, but I can't make any promises :))
